Shotgun Fit Evaluation
using the DryFire Target Simulator
Proper Gun Fit specializes in custom fitting the stock to you.
The Shotgun Fit Evaluation utilizes stock measuring equipment, a Try-Fit
Gun and the DryFire Target Simulator.
The Custom Fit service from Proper Gun Fit includes:
- Check for eye dominance
- Evaluate the shooter’s stance and mounting of
the shotgun
- Use the DryFire Target Simulator to evaluate
the shooter’s ability by shooting at simulated moving targets
with their personal gun (laser attached).
- Measure and record the
nine critical points on
the shooter’s shotgun along with checking and recording the
trigger pull measurement
- Adjust the Try-Fit Gun to accommodate the
shooter’s physical characteristics and shooting ability, and
then shoot at the simulated moving targets
- Make adjustments to Try-Fit Gun as needed to
make the gun fit the shooter better, and repeat shots as needed
to verify the changes
- Once acceptable results are obtained and
shooting has improved, measure the Try-Fit Gun and record the
measurements
- Use the Proper Fit Gun Form to compare the
shooter’s gun measurements to the Try-Fit Gun's measurements
and discuss the needed changes to the shooter
- Proper Gun Fit can do any of the stock
modifications that are needed to the shooters gun so it
matches the Try-Fit Gun. Some of the changes that can be made are;
length of pull, pitch, add adjustable combs, install adjustable
recoil pad and cast.
- Upon completion of the changes to the
shooters gun, verify the changes by using the
DryFire Target
